The catch board

Whatever the boats bring in.

Our fishermen go out from Anse Royale before dawn. What lands at the beach decides what goes on the grill, so the board changes every day. When a fish is gone, it's gone.

From pirogue to plate.

Our day starts long before yours. This is how a fish reaches your table.

05:30

The boats go out

Two pirogues leave the beach with hand lines. No nets, no trawlers: only what the line brings up.
